Flor

(she/they)

Flor is a queer farmer, performer & transdisciplinary artist who works with dirt, food, intuitive movement, printmaking, and public engagement. Flor grew up and currently lives in Portland, Maine, which is settled on stolen and occupied territory of the Wabanaki Confederacy. In March 2020, Flor started working with Presente on the Food Brigade project where she would eventually help form the Presente Farm and distribute thousands of pounds of food to the community. Flor planted Munay Garden in the summer of 2022, a medicinal plant and flower garden. There culturally significant plants from the motherlands are grown, processed in ceremony, and shared within the community. Flor believes we are our own healers and looks to reclaim the wisdom of her ancestors. Centering afro-indigenous healing traditions heals us and heals Pachamama.
